C40 Women4Climate Tech Challenge 2020(up to $40,000 in funding)

The application is open. The challenge will choose women-led innovative tech solutions for the climate with a measurable impact to examine them in C40 cities. C40 cities participating in the Tech Challenge commit to pilot. The winning solution and offer to selection by participating in the expert jury panel which will select the finalist. The mayoral and city official jury panel will choose the winners. Innovators, organizers, and startups were chosen to be finalists and winners will be eligible to receive financial or technical support form C40 and their partners, plus acceleration or implementation in C40 cities.
The cities committed to lead the winning innovations are interested in following thematic areas:
Open for all adult women, including students, Innovators, and professionals. As the word female and women use for transwomwen, genderqueer women and non-binary people who recognize, have identified or have been defined as women females are welcome to apply. The application form should be in English. The way may be from anywhere in the world.
After a successful first edition in Paris and Tel Aviv-Yafo, the 2019-20 tech challenge has extended to even more C40 cities.
Note: the city will only choose one winner project to be conducted in their city.
Vienna Biocenter Summer School 2020
A unique opportunity for 25 undergraduate students to work with leading researchers in a productive scientific environment.
It is beneficial for those students who are interested in graduate study in the life science field. The program start from last Friday in June ad finishes on the last Friday of August each year.
The school is a collaboration with five of Europe’s leading research institutes: Research Center for molecular medicines, Gregor Mendel Institute, Institute of molecular biotechnology, institute of molecular pathology and max Perutz labs sponsored by max Brinstiel foundation.
Candidates must have completed at least 12 years of university study. I have some previous research experience.

These students will come to CERN to work on plans with CERN contributors, gaining hands-on experience with the latest ICT solution. Each student engaging in the program and relate to a specific topic dedicated to a supervisor. It can lead to support on projects in your home institute. It may motivate you to become an entrepreneur informing point in computing technology. At the end of their stay, the student designs a report and present their work in a short presentation in the CERN IT department.

Applications are open for the Arthur C. Helton Fellowship Program 2020. Helton Fellowships provide proper funding that can make the difference in qualifying future international lawyers, scholars, and advocates to attempt a life-changing professional experience.
Founded in 2004, the Arthur C. Helton Fellowship Program identifies the legacy of Arthur Helton, a human rights advocate, and ASIL member. Helton died in the August 19, 2003 bombing in Baghdad of the UN mission together with UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Sergio Viera de Mello and 20 others.
They funded through the charitable support of the Planethood Foundation and ASIL members.

Applications for the Knight Science Journalism Fellowship Program at MIT 2020-2021 are now open. It supports a global community of dedicated and thoughtful journalists specializing in science, health, technology, and environmental reporting. The program will identify journalists who show a high level of professional excellence and success as well as a long-term engagement to their craft.
Every year the Knight Science Journalism Program at MIT offers academic-year fellowships to 10 science journalists to allow them to explore science, technology, and the craft of journalism to concentrate on a specialty in science and to learn.
In discussion with the director and Knight Science, Journalism Program staff, each fellow mostly designs his or her course of study. Fellows must select at least one science course per semester. They are otherwise encouraged to search the full range of offerings at MIT, Harvard, and other institutions in Cambridge and Greater Boston. The program offers a rich and diverse mix of coursework, colloquia, research trips, lab visits, interviews, reading, and writing.
