Coronavirus is a type of virus that causes an infection in the nasal cavity, sinuses or upper throat of humans. Some kind of coronavirus is not harmful but some are dangerous.

This virus was identified in the 1960s for the first time. No one knows where it comes from. Coronavirus has a crown-like shape so the people named it coronavirus. It spread both in animals and humans.

History of Coronavirus

  • In 2012, about 858 peoples in Saudi Arabia have reported Middle East respiratory syndrome (MERS).
  • In April 2014, the first time an American hospitalize in Indiana due to MERS. He had just returned from Saudi Arabia.
  • In 2015, an outbreak of MERS was seen in Korea, which was the largest epidemic outside of the Arabian Peninsula.
  • In 2003, about 774 people were died due to Severe acute respiratory syndrome known as SARS. MERS and SARS are kinds of coronaviruses.
  • Recently, in January 2020 the World Health Organization (WHO) found a new kind of coronavirus (2019-nCoV) in China. The above 300 death cases were reported in January. They found that it comes from travelers.

    Symptoms of Coronavirus

    The coronavirus causes infection in the upper respiratory tract. Its symptom includes cough, sore throat, fever, stuffy and runny nose. You can’t differentiate sometime either you have coronavirus or different cold (rhinovirus) symptoms. You can cure it by having rest and over-the-counter medication. This virus causes ear infection in kids too.

    In severe condition the coronavirus spread to lower respiratory tract and lungs it can cause pneumonia in aged persons. The immune system becomes weak especially the people having heart problems.

    How spread?

    Its spreading procedure is the same as the other cold virus does. Most coronaviruses spread the same way other cold-causing virus spread. Spread by coughing and sneezing of infected persons. by coming in contact with an infected person even with the touch on hand and face. It spread also with the things that are touched by an infected person like doorknobs and pots. Almost every person infected by coronavirus once in life. In the US, coronavirus mostly spread in the fall and winter seasons. Even everyone can come down by coronavirus at any time.

    Almost everyone gets a coronavirus infection at least once in their life, most likely as a young child. In the United States, coronaviruses are more common in the fall and winter, but anyone can come down with a virus infection at any time.

    What to do if you get an infection of coronavirus?

    • There is no vaccine for Coronavirus yet. For the prevention of infection, you have to do some things that you do to get rid of a common cold.
    • Wash your face and hands carefully with warm water, soap or an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
    • Keep your hands and fingers away from your face, mouth, eyes, nose, and avoid to touch many household items.
    • Avoid handy contact with the infected people.
    • Get rest and drink more liquids
    • Use medicine for cough and fever. But don’t give aspirin to the kids and teenagers who are younger than 19 years. Prefer to use Ibuprofen or Acetaminophen
    • A humidifier or steamy shower can also help for the comfort of a sore throat.

      MERS and SARS virus type are common in the US. It’s a serious issue now for china because a lot of people are getting an infection of coronavirus and the death rate is increasing. To overcome it you should take precautions and visit a doctor if you even get a simple cold. It will prevent you to get verse effects.
