End-to-End Encryption of WhatsApp
As far as security issues are concerned, Whatsapp provides end-to-end encryption to its customers all over the globe. It is a crucial feature welcomed by security experts everywhere. WhatsApp wrote in a blog post that this strong end-to- encryption acts as an unbreakable digital lock that keeps the information and conversation secure between users. It helps in protecting your WhatsApp from hackers and criminals; that’s how it secures your account. Messages are only kept on your phone when you are chatting, no one in between can read your words or listen to your calls. Your private conversations stay between you.
The government of the U.S, India, and Australia is forcing WhatsApp to drop encryption. India has a hoard of 400 million WhatsApp users. Chief executive of WhatsApp, Will Cathcart once said in the past that WhatsApp would fight for the privacy of its users. It was sawed on display when WhatsApp filed a suit in federal court accusing Israeli mobile surveillance makers of creating an exploit that was used hundreds of times to hack into targets’ phones. As end-to-end encryption is the necessity of modern life, the company says that they will not compromise on security because that makes people less safe. For more protection even, the company is willing to employ top security experts. The company is working on leading technology to stop misuse. Also, it is working to provide controls and ways to report issues without sacrificing privacy.
